Fun Flash Game - 13 Days In Hell

Thursday, August 7, 2008

Here’s a fun flash game to keep you entertained for a while.   1-4 changes weapons, R or Space reloads.   Aim for the weakspots and save your expensive ammo.

Blast some zombie-like lost souls and see if you can make it in the high scores.   The highest I got so far was 90,000 or so.

3 Things You Cant LIve Without

Thursday, May 29, 2008

So, JT thinks its cool not to post anything and make us look like a bunch of slackers, but im here to fix that.

Three things you cant live without

Number 1: Are you sick and tired of the stock windows bar? that strange blue and the even stranger green start tab? Well your in luck. Some time ago Microsoft released the Zune windows theme. Now i know that there are a million different themes out there. but this one looks pretty cool i might say. It sports a bright orange start bar with a charcoal black application tray. Along with that all of your applications now have a somewhat glossy black bar instead of the ugly….wait…what color was it? I guess ive had this theme for so long i forgot. Anyway, give it a try, it darkens up your desktop and looks snazzy! Click this link to go right to the download.

Number 2: *Double click WMP or Itunes* * wait 45 minuets for your 500gigs of music to load* we’ve all experienced it. Boggy media players that load every song…and take 5 minutes to do so. Well here be the solution to YE woes. MediaMonkey is a taste little chuck of free ware to manage ALL of your media needs. Its a media player, video, picture viewer, and on top of that it keeps all your podcasts subscriptions in line. But thats not the best part, MediaMonkey wont lag at all on start up unless you have 50,000+ songs. Now i don’t know about you but i have 34gigs of music, and thats only 6,000 songs. So if you’ve got enough music to bog this down them you’ve got to much music. Additional features include: downloadable skins * there are hundreds* and streaming throughout your network. Go check it out, it makes life dandy. MediaMonkey

Number 3: Do you play WoW? CSS? BF24300? Or any other game that you want to take a screen shot of? Or do you just like to take screen shots? Well as most of us do/have done, you press print screen, open MS-Paint and paste it, save it, and send the 3meg image to your friend. Takes forever eh? Well a few weeks ago i stumbled upon some even tastier free ware called Gadwin Screen Printer. You simply press print screen and gadwin takes care of the rest. it has simple options to save and the likes, easy to operate, and comes in handy if your soloing a 40 man instance and want to take pictures:D. Check it out HERE.

Number 4: I said 3 in the tittle? Oh…well I’m a liar. And this ones not near as long as the rest…Anyway! Our very own Bentun Stull recently started up a web comic that resembles Ctr-Alt-Del everyones favorite web comic right?…right? Guess not. Anyway, you should all swing over to his site www.eagleonefoxtwo.com the comics aren’t half bad and i’m sure he would like the support.

Additionally, here is a picture of a panda eating a small child. Or Bamboo, what ever you think.

And here we have what seems to be JT and Shanes last case of Crabs.

Until someone else derides to post. This has been a good waister of an hour of my time. Over and out..

Fun Flash Game - Attak

Monday, April 21, 2008

The other day I stumbled on this awesome flash game, Attak.  It’s a pretty fun and addicting fighting game.

“Holy balls. This is fun”

Attak

JohnnyTwoShoes - Now Playing Attak
“Attak is a fighting game about using special moves to defeat your opponent. You don’t have to worry about buildings or land getting in your way because you can just smash right through them.

Each character has their own unique special move, a special move can be performed by pressing the button associated with the star.”

You can help stop Uwe Boll!

Friday, April 11, 2008

I was browsing the CAD forums today and saw this thread about a petition to stop Uwe Boll from making more movies.

First off, the link to the petition is :

http://www.petitiononline.com/RRH53888/petition.html

I signed it and was #182523.   Supposedly if this reaches 1 million signatures, Uwe Boll will stop making movies.  If you don’t know who he is.  Check out his imdb profile.  I personally don’t think his movies are complete crap, but I do agree that he usually has almost no understanding of the games he tries to turn into movies.  Postal looks pretty damn funny, but I don’t know if it’ll be another let-down or not.

Anyway. Go sign the petition!  Only 817,477 signatures are still needed!

George Romero’s Resident Evil Movie Script

Tuesday, January 8, 2008

george_romeroGeorge Romero, the guy behind most of the great Zombie movies, originally wrote a script for the movie portrayal of Resident Evil.

Night of the Living Dead

Dawn of the Dead

Day of the Dead

Land of the Dead

Originally, Romero was set to write the theatrical version of Resident Evil, but there were conflicts of interest with the director.

EXT JILL’S APARTMENT MORNING

…JILL, heavily ARMED, in UNIFORM, wearing a beret that has an insignia… S.T.A.R.S. She rushes down the front path and jumps into A HUMMER with THREE OTHER TROOPERS on board. The vehicle pulls instantly away…

…leaving Chris, looking through the window, puzzled, angry, and very much wounded.

I was browsing through ZombieReportingCenter dot com and came across this article which led me to the script.  I remembered hearing from a friend that Romero was supposed to write or direct Resident Evil but I never read the script or knew anyone who had.

George Romero’s version of the movie starts out completely different.   It starts with some mishaps in a lab being watched through a video screen, then cuts to Chris Redfield feeding some eagles.  After seeing something that freaks him out Chris goes back to Jill Valentines apartment and gets in bed with her.  They talk about how alone they are and then eventually Jill wakes up before Chris because she gets a call from S.T.A.R.S and has to leave.

Oh, and there was something to do with a guy and horses somewhere in that sequence..

EXT THE FOREST MORNING

DEEP IN THE HEART OF THE MIST... THE HUMMER bounces over
non-roads and stops fifty yards from...

...A PAIR OF IRON GATES, each wrought with the letter "A".
Beyond, the shifting fog offers momentary glimpses of...
A MANSION. Huge. Like Xandau. THE TROOPERS, amazed,
climb out and approach the gates.
It looks like they're still going to the Mansion!

A deep, animal SNARL comes from the woods. The troopers
raise their weapons as they peer into the underbrush. The
fog keeps sunlight from penetrating. The forest is a maze
of dark shadows. Leaves flutter. Limbs SNAP. Then...

DARK SHAPES can be seen moving, circling. A half-dozen
of them. Maybe more. Jill whips out a transmitter and
quickly types an access code.
It didn't take long for the suspense to start building up.
After this scene it goes to some more recognizable characters like Wesker and Barry Burton.Chris gets out of bed, Helicopters land outside on the street of Raccoon City and attempt to evacuate everybody.

Chris beats up some guards, saves a sheriff and goes to his. . farm? I guess the guy with the horses was running Chris’s farm for him.  The old guy’s laying on the ground dying next to three of the horses that are also dead.

Barry looks worried. His instincts are asking... "We might
need... 'help'". Against what? We only see this in his eyes,
he says nothing as...

...Wesker leads the team through the woods, unaware of...

...CHRIS, following behind, crouching around trees and
bushes, not a trained commando, but comfortable with the
land, a natural warrior using ancestral instincts.

Chris makes his way through the woods and follows the S.T.A.R.S team members that just landed.  This is only about page 16 of the script, but so far it seems like it would have made a pretty decent movie.

Go over to the Movie Script Place and read the rest of the script.  I might finish reading it all and review it some point in the future but for right now I’ll leave that up to you guys.

Duke Nukem Forever Teaser

Wednesday, December 19, 2007

Duke Nukem Forever Teaser Shot Yes. That’s right.  Duke Nukem Forever.  I think it might actually be coming … someday.  The above picture is just a screenshot of the Teaser Trailer.

3D Realms yesterday posted that today they were going to post a Teaser Video they had made.

From the 3D Realms post:

“We’d like to thank the people on the team that worked so hard to create this teaser and the friends of 3DR that helped create it (Jeremy Soule and Julian Soule, Frank Bry, Jason Evigan and of course, Jon St. John).”

Now, just because these are the people who helped create it doesn’t mean they’re the ones that need to be beat if we don’t see anything else for a few more years.

Head over to 3D Realms to check out the release post or straight to shacknews to download the Trailer.  It’s about 75mb and one minute long.

There’s also a story on Shacknews about the History of Duke.

edit:  3dRealms and Shacknews are both extremely slow right now, so I might end up mirroring the video file on my server.  I’ll leave a link here if I do.
Edit: Here’s youtube to the rescue. I might still mirror the HD .mov file though, who knows

Crazy Guitar Hero Videos

Sunday, December 9, 2007

Alright. So everybody* loves Guitar Hero, but not everyone’s as good as some of these guys.

This 8yr old kid would totally kick your ass.   Watch him play Psychobily Freakout on GH2

And one of the hardest/funnest songs on GH3 is Through the Fire and Flames by Dragon force.  These two completely annihilate the song.

(Videos after jump)
